Shimshal Pamir Trek

This worthwhile trek leads into the more remote areas of the Karakorum mountains. To know about the traditions of Hunza you have to travel to more difficult villages like Shimshal. The journey continues throughout the Hunza valley and at the end you reach Shimshal valley. After crossing over Chapchangul Pass (5150m) and back to the Karakorum Highway, this trek takes you to Zaragarbin Pass (4600m), Shimshal Pass (4735m), and memorable high pasturelands.

Itinerary:

Day 1 Arrive at Islamabad, transfer to hotel,
Day 2 Fly to Gilgit (subject to weather), /drive to Naran via Babusar Pass (4200 m) (hotel)
Day 3 Drive from Naran & Babusar Pass to Gilgit/ free Day at Gilgit (hotel)
Day 4 Drive by jeep to Shimshal
Day 5 Free day for exploration (camp)
Day 6 Trek to Zardgarbin (camp)
Day 7 Cross the Zardgarbin Pass (4600 m) and come down to Mayadur (3600 m) (camp)
Day 8-9 Two days for exploration (camp)
Day 10 Return to Zardgarbin
Day 11 Trek to Shimshal (camp)
Day 12 Return to Karimabad (hotel)
Day 13 Drive to Naran via Babusar Pass (4200 m) (hotel)
Day 14 Drive to Islamabad (hotel)
Day 15 Fly home (end of services)
