Indus Boating Trip

The Indus river rushes out of the extreme North of Pakistan through the mighty Karakorum and Himalayan mountains, but when it reaches the southern plains it is smooth and peaceful. We travel by large wooden boat from Layyah and float leisurely down the river. Camping on island under the open sky among the surrounding lush green fields enhances the flavour of our trip and also enables us to share a bit of the nomadic lifestyle and experience some rural sttlements of the Punjab. This trip offers the maximum exposure to the Indus Valley culture. Arround the campfire, tales of heroic deeds are heard by the boatmen. Camel rides to the bank of the river add uniqueness to the trip. The best season for this trip is during the months of November through March.

Itinerary:

Day 1	Departure Multan for Layyah (2-3 hrs) in the morning ride camels and boating for saveral hrs(camp)
Day 2	Float down the Indus (camp)
Day 3	Continue the same trip
Day 4	Morning continue to Taunsa Barrage and drive to Multan(hotel)
Day 5	Fly to Islmabad (end of services)
